Into the Winter

The Story:

To get the picture you have to pay the price.      In this case it meant hanging out the window to wet snow, cold temperatures and soot from the locomotive.      It's the Silverton Durango Winter Train, and I go about every two years.   The key to this photo is the heavy  accumulation of totally fresh snow,   unspoiled by having the sun melt even a single flake. Yes, the camera was soaked but it was worth it.

My preference is canvas for this print, although some collectors like the details that come out when it is printed on infused aluminum.
