The Chimayo Sanctuary
The Story:
For years I didn't pay enough attention to Santuario de Chimayo. I was too enamored with the great restaurant a couple of blocks to the north - Rancho de Chimayo. But eventually I "saw the light", and in this case it happened on July 28, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. Moments later, the sun was down and the magical light was gone. This image is made for canvas, and yet some people still like it best on infused aluminum.
