In Love With the Moon

The Story:
This was the night of the blood moon of 9/27/15, and I was fortunate enough to be in the San Juan Mountains between Ouray and Telluride. I was shooting with my friends Doug and Laura Bennett, who brought along their friend Bob Vixie. Bob had a huge telescope with a way to attach a camera to it. This image is actually a composite of the moon, a silhouette of a hill from the area, and a tree from my home town of Corrales. When I first posted the shot on Facebook, Bob responded and told me he hadn't explained that the telescope caused the moon to be upside down! I later fixed it but not before getting a good laugh out of it. Thanks to Bob, Doug and Laura for this shot. This one only works with Infused Aluminum as the medium.
