The Story:
On the morning of January 12, 2013 I found myself - strictly by accident - at annual the balloon event at Monument Valley. Nothing like the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in size (perhaps twenty balloons compared to 700 for the Fiesta). However, the backdrop of the Monument Valley Cliffs made up for it. The ground, not seen in this photo, is just a few feet from the bottom edge of the photo so the balloon is not nearly as high as it appears.
