The Story:
This is a composite re-creation of a photo I originally took during the 2015 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. I liked the composition of the original photo and the story it told, but it was lacking in a lot of other ways. I recreated it, using some of my favorite balloons and a background image of the balloon fiesta park. It has come to be one of my most recognizable images due to the awards it has won and from being on the cover of the 2016 Balloon Fiesta Advertisers' Guide. It was also included in the January 2017 issue of Professional Photographers Magazine due to my having
won one of ten "Diamond Awards" in the International Photographic Competition in the "Master Artist" Category. This looks best on canvas due to its painterly appearance, but the infused aluminum medium still works for some collectors.
