The Story:
From a dream, I think. This basic image materialized in my mind and so I constructed it from about eight photos out of my collection, which was about 150,000 at the time. I loved the old shack - one of my favorites ever. It can be seen on Hwy 60 just west of Quemado, N.M. on the north side of the road. Quemodo is west of Pie Town. I go by there from time to time, and as is often the case, the shack is deteriorating rapidly.
This image is really made for canvas, due to the painterly appearance.
