Visions of Yellowstone

(placeholder)

The Story:

The background (which is principally almost all of this composite) was taken early one morning in Yellowstone National Park.   I was coming down through Yellowstone after visiting a long time friend, Sally McInnis, in Red Lodge Montana.   The fog had been thick and was just starting to lift, with the sun bringing out the colors of the terrain.   The horse, which I added, was actually a Peruvian show horse owned by my friend Barbara Wyndam in New Mexico.   Sadly, both Sally and Barbara died before ever getting to see this piece.

This image is really made for canvas, due to the painterly appearance.
